We took this unit with us on a 1700 mile motorcycle trip. Fit perfectly in our saddlebags within a smaller little pouch. Took nesspresso pods with us in same bag. Worked beautifully several times per day per person. Holds charge well when you heat up water in microwave first and then extracts instantly. If you put cold or room temp water, it takes longer to brew and uses up more charge. We didn’t mind, we just charged it over night every day to ensure we had full charge. We are very impressed with the flavor and crema that it produces. Does not over heat the coffee which can cause bitterness. Very consistent. Each cup tastes like a barista prepared it. We will be ordering the protective case that is available for it. Highly recommend this unit for any kind of travel.

This brewer does not hit 9 BAR of pressure that most folks relate to traditional espresso in their homes or at a proper coffee shop. That is nearly impossible with any travel brewer. However, it is certainly generating enough pressure to extract a delicious cup of coffee, which is really the important part.

I would recommend a darker roast of coffee with this brewer to be able to extract more coffee easily at a lower temperature, since this machine does brew an about 5 C lower than most home machines. This is because it is battery operated. I did not find this to be an issue. Honestly I was very surprised when I took my first sip. I was very happy with the results!

This is a really cool gadget for travel. You have to keep in mind that it is made to make espresso, so the size will be small. Plastic K cups are too large for this unit, but you can use coffee grounds or Nespresso cups or the fabric bottomed K cups. I actually opened a K cup and used the grinds for a cup, but it was very weak. I don’t find the need to measure with the scoop that is included. I just fill the filter with coffee grounds, and that seems to give a good strength. You should familiarize yourself with the unit first to make using it more seamless. It comes with a charging cord, but you can use any C charging cord. It stays charged for a while. They recommend using hot water, but if that’s not available, it will heat up whatever water you put in. You press it once to turn the unit on with a green light. Then you double click, and the yellowish light comes on. The unit heats the water, brews the coffee, and stops on its own. It is very easy to clean and extremely portable.

The unit has a good quality feel and brews a pretty solid cup of coffee with the nespresso attachment. I've also tried tea with the portafilter attachment which worked very well. The low battery capacity is understandable, but I do wish it had the ability to run off of the power cord so you don't have to wait until it recharges. Would be game changing! I am worried about the battery eventually giving out and then becoming useless because it can't run off the power cord.
